Linda Jean Jones Rankins, 50, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Lynchburg. Born in Smithfield, NC, January 4, 1968, Linda was the daughter of Helen Sullivan Jones and the late Raymond C. Jones. She was a Contract Manager with Liberty University and a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Jimmy Roger Rankins, Jr.; and daughter, Sarah Bethany Rankins both of Monroe; step-daughter; Jessica… Read More » Alanea Jones of Clayton, NC ; brother, Charles Jones of Clayton, NC; sister, Brenda Smith of Willow Springs, NC; two nieces Stephanie Jones and Kimberly Jones and nephew Bobby Brannan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 22, 2018 at Corner Stone Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
