Paul’s Obituary Paul M. Julius, age 84 of Windfall, passed away on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at I.U. Health-Tipton Hospital after an extended illness. He was born November 10, 1934 in Hobbs, the son of Lawrence L. and Alice C. (Owen) Julius. Paul married Beverly Ann Smith on December 30, 1994, and they shared over 23 years together before her passing in 2018.

Paul was a 1952 Graduate of Tipton High School. He was a member of Harmony Christian Church and a member of Quincy Masonic Lodge #230 in Elwood for more than 60 years. Paul had a wide array of interests and held a variety of jobs through the years.

He worked at Ex-Cello Corporation in Elwood for several years. Paul loved Tipton County and was elected to a number of positions in county government, including Tipton County Commissioner. Most recently, he drove a school bus route for a number of years, and he especially enjoyed talking with the children he met through the years.

Paul was passionate about collecting antiques, mainly his antique cars. He especially enjoyed supporting his granddaughters’ endeavors in sports and school plays. Paul was most comfortable at his home in the country, which was located on the Julius Family Farm.

Paul’s family includes daughter, Sheri (husband Tom) Floyd of Bloomington, IL; son, Randy (wife Colleen) Julius of Ovilla, TX; 4 grandchildren, Jill (husband Kyle) Birt of Indianapolis, Jenna (husband Zack) Brewer of Normal, IL, Eric Julius of San Marcos, TX, and Carla Powell of Red Oak, TX; mother of his children, Carolyn Julius of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Julius in 2018; and 4 siblings, David Julius in 1978, Eunice Off in 2008, Earnest Julius in 2014, and Mary Weismiller in 2018. Sheri and Tom would like to thank the ENTIRE staff at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton for their wonderful care and kindness to Paul during his stay with them.

They would also like to thank the staff at I.U. Health-Tipton Hospital for providing excellent care for him on his visits. Tipton County is a very caring and compassionate community. Per the family’s wishes, there will no public visitation and a graveside funeral service will be held privately at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society in Paul’s memory. Online condolences and memories may be shared with his family at copherfeslermay.com.
