Paulette Bailey, 71, of Waco Ave. , Kannapolis, NC, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, at her residence. She was born September 23, 1947 in Cabarrus County to the late James Bailey and the late Emma Mae Elliott Parker.

Paulette was educated in the Kannapolis City School System and was a 1965 graduate of G.W. Carver High School. She was formerly employed with K & W Cafeteria and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she was a former member of the Choir. Services will be held Saturday, February 16, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 6280 Pleasant Grove Church Rd, Kannapolis, NC.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Davis; a brother, Carl Singleton and stepfather, Herschel Parker.

Those left to cherish fond memories include her son, Maurice Bailey of Kannapolis; two sisters, Rev. Mildred Lawson (Bernard) and Joann Gray both of Kannapolis; two grandchildren, Jahques Pharr, Nadiyah Hooper; one niece, Morgan Powe; three nephews, Dale Davis, Scott Davis and Dominique Davis; one brother in-law, Mick Davis and a host of cousins and friends.
