Obituary for Pauline Marrs Sailliez Edith Pauline Marrs-Sailliez, 90 of West Frankfort, passed away at 2:56 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Herrin Hospital with her loving family by her side. Pauline was born July 15, 1928 in Hickman, Kentucky to Clarence and Alrie (Arnold) Hicks. She married Lloyd Marrs on June 1941 in Marston, Missouri.

He preceded her in death on March 23, 1977. She later married Jule Sailliez. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1999.

Pauline was retired, having been a store clerk at Grandpa Johns in Johnston City, Bracys Grocery Store in Marion and Roscoe’s Grocery in West Frankfort. She was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church where she served as secretary and treasurer for many years. She has been a member of the church since 1954 and has served faithfully for 64 years.

Pauline enjoyed camping, fishing and going to yard sales. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family. Pauline is survived by her three children, Larry (Patsy) Marrs of Johnston City, Joyce (Ricky) Karas and Susie (Don) Thomas both of West Frankfort; six grandchildren; Larry Dale (Chris) Marrs of Benton, Ryan (Celestia) Marrs of Johnston City, Shawn (Kendra) Marrs of Johnston City, Tracy Hargis of Austin, TX, Trevor Thomas of West Frankfort and Michael (Tena) Karas of Decatur; eight great-grandchildren, Joel and Jacob Marrs, Kailey (Will) Brooks, Brianna (Zack) Black, Termain Hargis, Alexus Goodwin, Ashlie Albright, Sun-Yoon Karas and Kaori Karas; four grandchildren, McKenna and Oliver Brooks, Abel and Harper Black; step-grandchildren, Doug Sneddon, Bryce (Misty) Sneddon, Trevor Sneddon; step-great-grandchildren, Ava Sneddon, Cheyenne Sneddon and Wyatt Upton.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Perry Davis; grandson-in-law, Ken Hargis; siblings; Loyd, Sam and Roy Hicks, Frank Gray, Aliene Hicks and Berniece Washburn. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 7.

2018 in Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in West Frankfort with Br. Curtis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.
