She was born in Logan County, Kentucky on December 28, 1939 to the late Warren Hall and Nancy Faye (Harris) Johns. Peggy was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and owner of Harris Supply.

She was an avid book reader, president of the Brookhaven Homemakers, loved being with her grandchildren, former Cub Scout leader, former PTA President and Bible School worker. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Wayne Harris and is survived by her: Two sons; Michael Wayne Harris (Jody) and Brian Lee Harris (Delayne) both of Russellville, two sisters; Ann Rager of Kirkmansville and Brenda McCall of Lewisburg and six grandchildren; Kelsey Peavler, Alexis Hendrix, Maddie Harris, Brilee Harris, Emmie Faith and Madicyn Faith. Funeral services for Peggy Harris will be conducted Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville chapel with Bro.

Nick Stamps officiating and burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 1:00 P.M. The family request that donations be made to Grace and Mercie-1507 South Main Street-Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
