R. Mack’s Obituary BALLARD, WV – R. Mack Caldwell, age 77, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at his home in Ballard, WV. Born October 24, 1941, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late Rudolph McKinley “Tom” Caldwell, Sr. and Tula Lee Rowan Caldwell. Mack worked as a cableman communications technician for AT&T until his retirement.

He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and served as an electronic technician. He was an avid amateur radio operator (K8GWU), a member of the John Dove Lodge #78 A.F. & A.M., the Peterstown Eastern Star Chapter #118, the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Reynolds Caldwell; one son, Jeff Caldwell and wife Tammy of Drakes Branch, VA; special aunt, Susie Looney of New Castle, VA; and aunt Sally Amato of FL.
