Obituary of Randy Slagle Randy Lee Slagle, 69, Gas City, was surrounded by his family in his home when he went to be with the Lord at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Randy was born in Marion on August 11, 1949, to George and Patricia A. (Fanning) Slagle. Randy was a heavy machine operator and had worked for several companies over the years.

He was a hard-working, friendly, and compassionate man. He enjoyed being outside, whether it was camping or going fishing. Cooking was one of his specialties.

He was an excellent cook and had canned his own home-grown vegetables for years. Music was also a very important part of Randy’s life. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar, and he had been in a band in his younger years.

Randy was a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church, and he will be missed dearly by family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Patricia “Pat” A. Slagle, Gas City; children, Joshua M. Slagle, Kokomo, Mindy J. Slagle, NC, and Corby L. (Heather) Slagle, CO; grandchildren, Micah, Amanda, Layla, Logan, and Nolan; great-granddaughter, Amelia; sister, Susan (Chris) Losure, Greentown; nephews, Derek Mason, Justin Losure, and Jared Losure; niece, Tiffany Mason; good friends, Don King, Debbie Dickerson, and several others; and his cat, Rex. His father, George Slagle, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Online condolences may be made at www. nswcares.com.
