Obituary for Rebecca Kaye Rockett Rebecca Kaye Rockett Mrs. Rockett was born on June 18, 1948 to J.B. and Inez Crocker Downs in Magnolia, AR and passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Haynesville, LA after a long term illness. She could work magic with her hands, and enjoyed sewing, crafting, and decorating. She loved her hometown and always supported Haynesville sports.

She also loved spending time with family, and made sure she never missed a ball game. Especially baseball. A special memorial service will be planned for a later date.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Ben W. Rockett Jr. of Haynesville, LA; two sons, Eric W. Rockett of Haynesville, LA, Ryan D. Rockett of Fairbanks, AK; daughter, Jaime R.Rockett and husband Eric of Haynesville, LA; two granddaughters, Kayli McCutchen and husband Mannie of Mcneil, AR, Savannah Alford of Haynesville, LA; four grandsons, Alan B. Cockrell of Haynesville, LA, Daniel Smith of Omaha, NE, Jake Rockett of Fairbanks, AK, Eric Ryan Alford of Haynesville, LA; great-grandson, Priestley Hardy; four brothers, Henry David Thornton and wife Donna of Port Neches, TX, Luke Thornton and wife Iris of Arlington, TX, Pat Downs and wife Tammy of Magnolia, AR; sister, Lana Downs of Magnolia, AR; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Mrs. Rockett was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jarvis, Sandy, Julieanne; and brother, Jimmy. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Salmon, Dr. San Pedro, Aime Hospice, and The Heritage of Haynesville for their tireless service.
