Rebecca “Becky” Dickerson, 78, of Sierra Vista, Arizona died Monday, July 16, 2018 in Sierra Vista. Becky, the daughter of the late David O, and Helen H. Rhodes (both deceased) was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on July 15, 1940. Raised in Plainfield, Becky graduated from Plainfield High School.

She met her sweetheart and future husband Earl Dickerson there. They married, and Becky and Earl shared many years together traveling on assignment with United States Army in France, Germany and many other military assignments. Becky has resided in Sierra Vista for the Past 46 years and was a 30-year choir and general service member of Main Post Chapel on Fort Huachuca.

Becky loved to cook and travel. She was known as the navigator long before there was G.P.S. Becky also loved the many foreign cultures she encountered while traveling with her husband in the military. She spoke German, French, some Japanese and Korean.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Dickerson; a ‘daughter’ Angela Veney; nieces: Ernestine Nelson, Barbara Dickerson and Connie Fontaine; cousin Lillian White; godson Trey McCraney and close friends: William McCraney (Barbara), Daniel Riley (Margie), Edward Brown (Darlene) and Jutta Duncan. Family and friends are asked to meet Tuesday, July 24, 2018 for Becky’s funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in Kino Chapel, Fort Huachuca. Burial will follow in Old Post Cemetery.

Funeral procession to the chapel will meet at the Widow Support House by the Main Gate.
