Richard Lee “Billy” Funkhouser, 79, of Wardensville, WV died Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home. Billy was born June 14, 1939 in Baker, WV, the son of the late Carl and Una E. Wilson Funkhouser. He was a veteran in the United States Army Reserves, a carpenter for 15+ years, a member of the Mid Atlantic Regional Carpenter Council and the Baker United Methodist Church.

Surviving with his wife of 47 years are three brothers: Ted Funkhouser, Roger Funkhouser & Chester Funkhouser all of Baker, WV; two sisters: Janet Wilkins of Baker, WV; Donna Smith of Stephen City, VA and a number of nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, WV on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Wardensville Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4-6 PM.
