Obituary of Richard Iverson Richard Patrick Iverson, age 76, of Painted Post, NY died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. Dick was born February 2, 1942 in Corning to Einar and Virginia (Ryan) Iverson. He was a graduate of Northside High School (Class of 1960) and served in the Navy in 1962.

Dick was employed at Corning Incorporated in Sullivan Park for 50 years and retired in 2011. He was a communicant of All Saints Parish, Knights of Columbus, and an avid stamp and coin collector, and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Waneta Lake. Throughout his life Richard was dedicated to his work, family, many friends, and church community.

He is survived by a niece, Rachel (Jake) Hutchinson and her two children; former sister-in-law and good friend, Alice Iverson; aunt, Dagmar Ceder; cousins, David Salley, Daniel Salley, Steve Salley, and Sylvia Dobson. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eric. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday July 25th from 5 until 7 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. 216 East First Street in Corning.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church 155 State Street in Corning. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
