Robert J. “Deputy Bob” Mount, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on July 7, 1952, in Springfield the son of Robert F. and the late Audrey (Boyd) Mount. Bob graduated from Springfield North High School/JVS in 1970.

He served as a Deputy for the Clark County Sheriff’s Department for 25 years, mostly spent as a DARE Officer. He was one of the initiating Deputies for Clark County’s DARE program. Bob had a passion for Hot… Read More » Rod cars and held a special place in his heart for his fellow “Elder Rodders”.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Liz (Yowler) Mount, three children: Joseph (Jennifer) Mount of California, Keri (Dan) Faust of South Vienna, and James Mount of South Vienna; five grandchildren: Camden and Joel Mount, and Maggie, Brady and Brock Faust; and one brother, Michael (Lauren) Mount. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hannah Faust. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5-8:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a celebration of his life and career will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Cook officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County D.A.R.E. Program.
