JANICE E. CARR, 90, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday morning, April 10, 2018 at Villa Springfield. She was born in Springfield on August 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Raymond Averill and V. Mae (Woosley) Henson. Janice was a 1944 graduate of Springfield High School.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ for over 70 years, Home City Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, V.F.W Post 8673 Ladies Auxiliary, and a long-time member of the African Violet Society of America. She… Read More » is survived by her daughter, Linda (Jim) Owens of Springfield; brother, Robert A. Henson of Springfield; sister-in-law, Margaret Osbun of Kenton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Richard Krichbaum of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert E. Carr and Robert C. Osbun.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Eastern Star services at 7:00 p.m. Janice’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Daniel M. Powell officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458 or the African Violet Society of America Endowment Fund, 2375 North St., Beaumont, TX 77702.
