RONALD ELLIS “RON” DUNKLEY, JR. , age 50, of 47 Cavel-Chub Lake Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday night, November 15, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dunkley was born March 7, 1968 in Person County, NC son of the late Ronald Ellis “Ronnie” Dunkley, Sr. and Judy Warren Wilborn Dunkley who survives.

He was a self- employed painter and was of the Baptist faith. Ron enjoyed camping, going to the lake, and spending time with his family and dogs. Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Harley Elizabeth Dunkley, sister, Shannon D. Sparks & husband, Dwayne all of Roxboro, NC, niece, Jessica Byrd, nephew, Dustin Turner, and pet dog, Jax.

In addition to his father Mr. Dunkley is preceded in death by his twin sister, Margaret Elizabeth Dunkley. Celebration of life services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Johnathan Shattuck officiating.

The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Change of Heart Pit Bull Resuce, 9660 Falls of Neuse Road, Ste. 138 PMB 299, Raleigh, NC 27615.
