Ronald “Snake” Kopiwoda, 71, of Cheboygan, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at home. A resident of the area since 2005, moving from White Lake, Michigan, Ron was born April 22, 1947 in Dearborn, the son of Steven and Bernice (Howitt) Kopiwoda. In 1999 in Novi, he married Keleigh Reed, who survives.

Ron was employed as a master printer at Siefert’s City Wide Printing in Southfield, retiring after 20 years of service. He was also a handyman and jack of all trades, and enjoyed woodworking, automotive repair, and especially working on and maintaining his Harley-Davidson, and was a 45 year member of the Penetrators Motorcycle Club. In addition to his wife, Keleigh, he is survived by two step sons, Jeffrey and Brett Vasquez, three sisters, Christine (Jim) Byars, Catherine Kopiwoda, and Sharon Jackson, his mother, Bernice Kopiwoda, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VitalCare Hospice of the Straits, 360 Connable Ave.
