Obituary of Samuel Digirolamo Samuel J. Digirolamo, 91, of Panama passed away Tuesday (July 10, 2018) in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born November 21, 1926 in Jamestown, the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Camaratta Digirolamo. Sam was a graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and the Korean War.

In earlier years he was employed by the former Goldstar Market in Falconer. Prior to retirement he had owned and operated Digies Bar in Jamestown. He was a member of the War Vets Recreation in Sugar Grove and the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion.

Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing and competing in archery tournaments. He has won numerous archery awards and in the 1970’s was WNY Archery Champion. Surviving are two sons: Mark (Beth) Digirolamo of Panama, Mike Digirolamo of Kernsville, NC; six grandchildren: Andrea Digirolamo, Samuel Digirolamo, Scott (Lindsay) Digirolamo, Casey (Ali) Digirolamo, Katie (Shane) Gukas, Crystal Howlett; numerous great grandchildren and a sister Jenny Dahar of Olean.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Nick, Victor, Joseph, John and Paul Digirolamo, three sisters: Jenny, Rose and Carmella Digirolamo. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
