Obituary of Neta Smith Neta L. Smith, 95, formerly of Fairmount Ave. , Jamestown passed away Thursday (September 20, 2018) in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born November 18, 1922 in Brockway, PA, the daughter of the late Claude and Annetta Gage Bliss.

Neta held a variety of jobs before her retirement, including cooking at the Savoy Restaurant, factory work and housecleaning. She was a loving mother and spoke highly of her children and grandchildren. Some of Neta’s long-time interest included flowers, gardening, birdwatching, listening to a variety of music, reading magazines and newspapers, and spending time outdoors.

She also enjoyed attending religious services and visiting with friends. She is survived by three sons: Ronald (Susie) Seder of Venice, FL, James (Beverly) Seder of Russell, PA; Leonard(Katherin) Seder of Woodruff, SC; a daughter Bonnie (Dennis) Johnson of El Cajon, CA; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Warner, Barb Carlson both of Russell, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Smith whom she married September 3, 1990, who died July 18, 2003; a son Berlyn Seder; four brothers: Berwin, Clinton, Duane and William Bliss; three sisters: Annabell McCool, Glendora Fulton and Hazel Olay.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the Wiltsie Community Church, 2981 Swede Rd. , Russell, PA. Rev.

Todd Venman will officiate. Memorials may be donated to the Wiltsie Community Church, Outdoor Fund, 2981 Swede Rd. , Russell, PA 16845.
