Obituary of Stanley Anderson Stanley K. Anderson, 88, of Sinclairville passed away Monday (November 5, 2018) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA surrounded by his family. A lifelong area resident he was born July 14, 1930 in Jamestown, the son of the late Oscar and Isabelle Kenney Anderson. Stan was a 1949 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and was a self-employed dairy farmer.

He received the Farmer of the Year Award in 1963. He along with his wife Noreen operated Anderson’s Sweet Corn and Produce for 71 years. Stan was also employed as a bus driver for Cassadaga Valley Central School for many years.

He was a member of the Holstein-Fresian Association (local & national), Farm Bureau, Charlotte Grange, FFA, DHI, ASCS, Gerry Fire Department, Board of Assessors and served as town of Gerry Assessor. He is survived by his wife Noreen P. McLeod-Anderson whom he married July 10, 1954 in Sinclairville; five children: Colleen (Tom) Carlson of Falconer, Barbara (Gary) Swan of Sinclairville, James Anderson (Julie Sipowicz-Sirianno) of Sinclairville, Cheryl (Dean) Barmore of Gerry, Donna (Todd) Wier of East Aurora; seventeen grandchildren: Douglas (Johanna) Barmore Jr., Alexis Carlson, Skylar Carlson, Stacie Swan, Gary (Kristen) Swan Jr., Alycia (James) Lacki, Jason (Alyssa) Anderson, Brigetta Thomas, Brock (Natalie) Thomas, Brad (Adrienne) Barmore, Kari Barmore (Nick Jackson), Brian Barmore (Chelsea Lapp), Brittany (Kyle) Thomas, Thaddeus (Kelsey) Wier, Stan Wier, Camden Wier, Isabelle Wier and fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Glenn Anderson on September 16, 2008; a granddaughter Michelle Bloom on November 4, 2009; a daughter in law Debra Anderson July 3, 2017; four brothers: Kenneth, Merrill, Donald and Warren Anderson; three sisters: Helen Anderson, Jean Marz and Dorothy Marz.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev.

James D. Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville. Family and friends are invited for a Celebrations of Stan’s Life on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds Banquet Hall, Gerry, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Sinclairville Fire Department, Gerry Fire Department or Sinclairville Baptist Church.
