Obituary of Barbara Hall Falconer- Barbara “Jane” Hall, 84, joined the love of her life, her husband Frank, on October 30, 2018. She was born March 22, 1934, in Snowden, PA, the daughter of William and Julie Ann Toth Oskin. Jane was serving in the U.S. Navy when she met Frank.

They were married August 15, 1953, in Charleston, SC. Jane graduated from Beautician School in Tucson, AZ and owned Jane’s Beauty Shop in Falconer. Previously she had managed The First Lady Beauty Salon in the Chautauqua Mall and was a teacher at Raphael’s Beauty School in Jamestown.

Jane was also a nurse’s aide at WCA. She was a very strong woman, meeting every challenge in her life with determination. Jane was devoted to her family.

She took the time for everyone and always had a good word or compliment for her loved ones. She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Carlsson (Gunnar) of Falconer, a son, Matthew Hall (Dorothy) of Falconer, grandsons, Dr. Wayne Carlsson (Jon) of Lakewood, Tyler Hall of Falconer, Garrett Hall of Jamestown, granddaughter, Lauren Haring (Art) and two great grandchildren, Logan and Leila Haring all of Crofton, MD, a brother William “Jack” Oskin (Janie) of Madison, TN, and a sister, Julie Ann Oskin of Bolivar, MO. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Hall who died May 9, 2017 and a brother, James Oskin.

No visitation will be observed. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, NY 14733.
