Obituary of Patricia Spitale It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia “Patty” Spitale announce her unexpected passing on September 17, 2018 at UPMC Hamot while surrounded by her family. Patty was born on February 3, 1954 beloved daughter of Edward and Mary Nowosielski Wilberg of Westfield, NY. She was a lifetime resident of Chautauqua County.

She touched and enhanced the lives of many during her short stay here on earth. She was well known for the kindness and respect she expressed to everyone she encountered. Patty’s selfless desire to help others was reflected in her life on a daily basis and was truly inspirational.

She was naturally magnetic not only to people but also to animals. Her outgoing personality and warmth would light up a room. She was encouraging and supportive to others and would help anyone in any situation without judgment.

Her strength came from her deep faith and the love of her family and close friends who were her driving force and the sunshine of her life. Patty truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like fishing with her grandchildren, finding bargains at garage sales, gardening, bird watching, her bible study group, and her extensive volunteer work. She was adventurous and was always up for trying new things.

She will most certainly be remembered for being the life of the party and her fantastic sense of humor! Patty was retired from Doyle Security and Phillips Lifeline. During her working years, she touched the lives of countless senior citizens.

She was a member of Koinonia, and board member at Jamestown Meals on Wheels as well as The Chautauqua Blind Association. Patty continued her charitable donations even after her passing, as she gave the gift of organs and tissue through C.O.R.E in the spirit of helping others. Those left behind with wonderful memories of Patty are her husband Carl Spitale; her three children Dawn Neaverth of Florida, Michelle (Gene ) Swan of Jamestown, Thomas Truax of Olean; two step children Paula (Bryan) Rondeau and Carol Spitale; eight grandchildren: Jacob Truax, Kam Baglia, Kaitlyn Swan, Marissa Swan, Rosalie Rondeau, Sammy Rondeau, Nazaiah Spitale, Aviana Spitale; two brothers: George (Donna) Wilberg, John Wilberg, sister-in-law Jean Wilberg as well as her former spouse Thomas Truax.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Peter Wilberg and Edward Wilberg. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday with Doug Kibbe pastor of Church On The Rock officiating.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Jamestown Meals on Wheels or the Chautauqua Humane Society.
