Obituary for Schelby Hensley Schelby Gean Hensley, age 77, of Unicoi, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at her residence. A native of Unicoi, Schelby is a daughter of the late Lee L. and Minnie Bell (White) Moore. She was a member of the Erwin Church of God and was a Pastor’s wife for many years.

She was a Godly woman who loved her family and enjoyed sewing. In addition to her parents, Schelby is preceded in death by husband: Reverend James “J.B.” Hensley, and a brother: Edward Lee Moore. Schelby Gean Hensley leaves behind to cherish her memory: Children: Kathy Randolph, of Unicoi, Ricky Hensley, of Unicoi, Melody Hensley, of Unicoi; Grandchildren: Anthony Hutson, of Sparta, TN, Reverend James Brandon Hutson, of Unicoi; Great-grandchildren: Luna Hutson, of Sparta, TN, London Hutson, of Sparta, TN; Brothers and sisters: Pauline Hensley and husband, Harold, Paul Moore and wife, Pat, Judy Banks and husband, Junior; Several nieces and nephews.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Schelby Gean Hensley in a funeral service to be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Brandon Hutson and Pastor John Edwards will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by Lori Edwards and by Gary Ollis and Mike Harris.

A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the hour of service on Sunday. A committal service will be held in Jones Cemetery following the funeral service. Those attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 2:00 PM to go in procession.

Serving as pallbearers will be the men of the Erwin Church of God. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
