Scott Matthew Steinberg February 17, 1979 – December 13, 2018 Scott Matthew Steinberg, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Middle Hospital, Middletown. Scott was born in New Haven on February 17, 1979. He graduated from East Hartford High School Class of 1997 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Central Connecticut State University in 2001.

Scott was a real estate agent with Michael Ganem and Associates, LLC and a mortgage loan officer with Mortgage Assistance Company, LLC. He owned Scott Steinberg Real Estate in Provincetown, MA, where he resided for 4 years before returning to Connecticut in 2012. Scott and John Marino were the proud owner’s of the Club Shake located in New Britain.

Scott loved shopping for designer clothing, fine dining, as well as, home cooking; listening to house or electronic dance music as he went about his daily routines. He enjoyed nature and nature photography, and walks along the beaches in Provincetown, MA. He was compassionate, funny and loved animals.

Scott was predeceased by his loving maternal grandparents, Ruth and Lawrence Hopkins. Scott leaves his loving mother, Judith Candelli and step-father, Ralph Candelli of Morris, IL; brother Joseph (Linda) Yarish of Toluca, IL; sister Jill (Michele) McKelvey of West Hartford. He also leaves his beloved business, life partner and best friend, John Marino, and their daughter Donna Marino; as well as, his long time best friend and love, Jennifer Grossi (Blomstrann); and his three rescued dogs, Peanut, Coco, and Buster; plus many friends.

After cremation rites, Scott’s wish was for some of his ashes to be spread over Macmillan Beach in Provincetown, MA.
