Sharon Kane, 74, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Sharon was born on Sept. 25, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ann Kane. Sharon attended St. Mary’s and Holy Cross Grade Schools in Champaign and Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield. After graduation, Sharon entered the Dominican Sisterhood.

She served at many different locations for 22 years, after which she left and became a teacher at Holy Cross Grade School in Champaign. She is survived by her brother, Jack (Molly) Kane; 2 nieces, Deanna (Jake) Stillwell and Jennifer (Dan) Gresser and 4 great-nieces. Sharon is also survived by her best friend and housemate, Jeannie Grap.
