Sherry Lynn Peterson Howard, 69, of Owensboro, died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1949 in Christian County to the late Loyce & Gladys Shemwell. Sherry attended Crosspointe Baptist Church and worked at Ohio Valley Nephrology.

She loved Elvis, Big Dipper Hamburgers, NCAA Basketball, Rick Pitino, and the Blue Angels. Sherry loved life, never met a stranger, was always smiling and she loved family gatherings but most of all loved her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Allen; and her brothers, Donald, Bobby, & Paul Dean Shemwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Jimmy) Goetz and Tonya (Chris) Crabtree; companion and love of her life, Dave Kindle; five grandchildren, Lillie, J.R., & Warren Goetz, Sierra & Lexi Crabtree; her dog, Snowy and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Farrell Isenberg & her nephew, Rev.

Jim Bob Allen officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday and after noon on Thursday at the funeral home.
