Sonny Lucas, age 80 of Louisville, KY died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on December 10, 1937, the son of the late Bennie and Ollie Lucas. Sonny was a drywall finisher who enjoyed watching baseball, fishing, hunting and anything outdoors.

He loved his family and Bluegrass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Billy Fuqua. Sonny is survived by his wife Juanita Lucas of Louisville, KY 2 sons – Doug Lucas (Cindy) of Columbus, IN and Jimmy Howard of Louisville, KY 3 daughters – Teana Lease of Louisville, KY Davina Chambers (Tony) of Floyds Knobs, IN Marina Hardin (Clay Offutt) of Shepherdsville, KY 5 grandchildren: Michael Howard, Adam and Justin Lucas, Ryan Vance and Jenna Hardin 2 great grandchildren: Justin Howard and Evan Lee 2 brothers: Irvin Lucas (Nancy) of Columbus, IN and Ralph Lucas (Linda) of Hot Springs, Arkansas 2 sisters: Jeannette Board and Linda Bennett of Irvington, KY Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11 AM with burial in the Garfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 3:30 – 8 PM and after 8 AM Saturday.
