Stanley G. “Jerry” Sleczka, 75 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City. Jerry was born on July 23, 1943 in Granite City; the son of the late Stanley M. and Helen B. (Papes) Sleczka. Jerry was a sheet metal worker at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing.

In his free time Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for the love of his family and all the special times they shared together. Jerry is survived by and will be missed by his children; Michael (Tammy) Sleczka of Granite City, Patricia (Don) Deathridge of Pleasant Hope, MO, Susan Sleczka of Highland; grandchildren, Michael Sleczka, Stephen (Elizabeth) Deathridge, Mathew Deathridge, Rebecca Deathridge, Benjamin Deathridge, Chloe Sleczka, Alexander Graham, Colin Clark; great-grandchildren, Levi Deathridge, Kayden Deathridge, Kayden Graham, Averi Graham.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife; Carol A. (Kozlowski); brother, James A. Sleczka. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
