Ernie E. Verba, age, 74, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at University Nursing and Rehabilitation in Edwardsville. He was born July 12, 1944 in Madison, IL, a son of the late Jerry Verba Sr. and Antonette (Lhotak) Verba. Ernie retired from the Levee District after 30 years of dedicated service as a truck driver.

He attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Madison. IL. Ernie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by a sister, Betty Drake of Maryville; many nieces; nephews; extended family and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded by four brothers, Jerry Verba Jr., William Verba, Charles Verba and Jim Verba and three sisters, Wilma Bezan, Alice Martin and Mollie Kondrackie. In celebration of his life, a private service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel.

Interment will follow at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the March of Dimes. Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon in charge of arrangements.
