Obituary for Stela Pruna Stela Pisca Pruna, 71, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Stela was born on July 10, 1947, in Romania. On October 15, 1966, she married George Pruna.

Together they worked for IBM and came to Charlotte in 1989 when IBM moved them there. Stela is survived by her son, Dan (wife Lisa) Pruna of Harrisburg; two granddaughters who called her “Ma”, Brittney and Haley; a sister Constance (husband Stefan) Dobre of Concord, NC; and nieces: Oana (husband Max) of Harrisburg, and Anca (husband Viorel), Roxana, Denisa, and Alisa all of Bucharest. Stela is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, back in 2014. Stela’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them. A gathering of friends and family will begin at noon on Tuesday, January 15, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC, 28105, with a service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm.

Following the service, Stela will be taken in formal procession to her final place of earthly rest next to George at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC.
