Obituary of Steven Dashiell Steven Price Dashiell, 62, died on April 16, 2018 of a sudden heart attack. Born in Salisbury on June 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Donald Lee and Shirley Willing Dashiell. Steve was a 1973 graduate of James M Bennett High School where he played football and wrestled.

He graduated from Salisbury State College in 1978 with a degree in Philosophy and completed graduate work at Georgetown University. He then worked for the family business, J. Roland Dashiell & Sons Construction, for many years. At the time of his death, he was employed by Evans Builders.

He is survived by his children, Olivia Dashiell Bedwell (James) and Gerrit Steven Dashiell; brothers, Donald Dashiell Jr. (Debbie) and John Christopher Dashiell (Kim); aunts, Bert Butler (Walt) and Judith Willing as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Willing Price Dashiell. Steve loved philosophy, reading, good food, music, and the water, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his children, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and their families.

Steve was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where he played guitar and sang with their Praise Band. He was also a team leader for several Appalachia Service Project missions. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April, 20, 2018 at Asbury United Methodist Church (1401 Camden Avenue).

A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Asbury Church, Attention: Appalachia Service Project (1401 Camden Ave Salisbury, MD 21801) or Recovery Re Center (726 South Salisbury Boulevard, Salisbury, Maryland 21801). Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 501 Snow Hill Rd.
