Obituary of Susan Billette Susan Kay Moretto Billette was born on August 20, 1959 in Blue Field, West Virginia to Thelma (Hedrick) and Mito Moretto. After a two-year battle with ALS, she passed away at her home in Lyle, Washington on July 14, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 58. Susan married Joseph Leon Billette in White Salmon on August 31, 1979.

For 33 years she worked for Wasco County Circuit Court, retiring in 2011. Mrs. Billette was a member of T.O.P.S. /K.O.P.S.

, Mid-Columbia Car Club, the Eagles Lodge and Columbia Gorge Runners. She loved keeping active by running, doing obstacle courses, mud running and going on walks and hikes. She also enjoyed photography and just loved living life.

She is survived by her husband Joe Billette of Lyle; daughters Heidi Bodolay (Joe) of Dallesport, Washington and Sarah Billette of Redmond, Oregon; stepdaughter Jacque Billette of St. Ignatius, Montana; mother and stepfather Thelma and John Keesee of Pe Ell, Washington; brothers Thomas Moretto (Regina) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, John Moretto of Tazewell, Virginia and Michael Moretto (Susie) of Spokane, Washington; soul sister Dottie Truelove of Stevenson, Washington; and eight grandchildren. A memorial potluck was held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 20 at Gardner Funeral Home.
