Born November 21, 1918 in Hatfield, Massachusetts to the late Daniel and Christine (Bucala) Omasta. Passed away at age 99 on May 7, 2018 in Walnut Creek. She served in the US Army WAC as a Medical Technician 1943 – 1945.

After the war she moved to California where she met and married the late Orville Saalfeld. His career in heavy construction took them to many western states before settling in Walnut Creek and Lafayette, California . She was preceded in death by her brothers Albert Omasta, Carl Omasta, Daniel Omasta and sister Doris Malinowski.

She is survived by her children David (Ann) Saalfeld, Sandra (Tom) Houseman and Robert (Sandra) Saalfeld, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and siblings Charlotte Omasta, Cynthia Goller, David Omasta, Ethel Dwight, Ruth Senuta and Velma Marotte. All services will be private.
