Ted J. “T.J.” Sweeten With great sadness, we say goodbye to our loving son, brother, and uncle. After battling cancer Ted died at home, as he wished. Cancer took his body but never conquered his spirit.

Ted “T.J.” was born October 14, 1963 to Valerie and Richard “Dick” Sweeten in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Washington Terrace and later lived in Oregon for 20 years. Ted loved life and the outdoors; skiing, fishing, hunting, bike riding, and the rain.

He was a welder, mechanic, and carpenter. His love of challenges meant there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or improve. Surviving are his mother and two sisters, Vicky (Bob) Britton and Brenda Sweeten.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Cliff; and sister, Stacey. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
