Thomas’ Obituary Thomas J. “Crowbar” Zimmerman, 81, of 72 Oak St., Wilcox, died Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 22, 2019) at UPMC-Kane Community Hospital. He was born Dec.

29, 1937, in Glen Hazel, a son of Andrew and Helen Bodistow Zimmerman. On Nov. 9, 1957, he married Betsy Smith, who survives.

He was a Korean War era Army vet, serving overseas as an SP3 with the Hq & Hq Co. 1st Battle Group, 9th Infantry. Surviving in addition to his wife at home are five children, Sherry Zimmerman of Wilcox, Deborah Rosenberry of Nashville, Tenn. , Kenneth Zimmerman of Wilcox, Dick (Mandy) Zimmerman of Leeper and Janet Zimmerman & Mike Carrol of Wilcox; five grandchildren, Lynn, Stephen & Shinee, and Max and Alex; five great-grandchildren, Morgan & Hudson, DeAngelo & Antonio and Avianna; six siblings, Andrew J. Zimmerman of Glen Hazel, Fred Kanski of Clearfield, Donna Hickman of Wilcox, Barbara Erickson of Eighty Four, Mary Ann Steudler of Wilcox and Erla Lecker of Wilcox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Szymanski. Funeral services and visitation for Thomas J. Zimmerman will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery and will be private.

Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
