Timothy Daniel Summar October 03, 1956 – December 11, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Timothy Daniel “Tim” Summar, 62, of Dibble, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in Union City, Oklahoma. The son of Jonathan Thurman Summar, Jr. and Martha Bell (Osborn) Summar, he was born October 3, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas. When Tim was six years old his family moved to Tok, Alaska, where he grew up and graduated from high school.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Tim married Carolyn Jean Barber on April 13, 1992 in Duncan, Oklahoma. They moved to Dibble in 1999 and have lived there ever since.

He was a founding member and board member of the Faith Christian Fellowship in Dibble. He is also a member of the Carpenter’s Union #1243 in Alaska and #329 in Oklahoma City. Tim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Tim played the guitar for his church and donated his time making home repairs and remodeling for the elderly and those in need. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Tim was a very loving and caring husband, daddy, grandfather, son, and brother.

He was a hard worker and very dedicated to his family. Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, John Summar; and one brother, Cliff Summar.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carolyn Summar, of Dibble; children, Crystal Champagne of Oregon, Brandy Richardson and her husband, Matt, of Oregon, Tia Nation and her husband, C.J., of Dibble, Jessica Vedder of Oregon, Keith Carnes of Blanchard, Kelli Davis and her husband, Mike, of Lindsay, Brenton “B.J.” Thomas of Dibble; his mother, Martha Summar of Alaska; twenty grandchildren, Maria, Sophia, Kyla, Daniel, Toby, Hadlie, Jessica, Sy, Shelby, Tyler, Justin, Shane, Karri, Ricky, Dakota, Michael, Syndal, Austin, Korrey, and Trevor; fourteen great grandchildren; six sisters, Debra James and her husband, Ed, of Alaska, Dorita and her husband, Chris, of Arkansas, Darlene Charles of Alaska, Donna Kadrich and her husband, Doug, of Alaska, Elvia Murrell and her husband, John, of Newcastle, who were also Tim’s pastors; Marthalyn Edwards and her husband, Doug, of Dibble; one brother, Jeff Summar and his wife, Sue, of Alaska; one sister-in-law, Suzie Summar of Oregon; many nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Faith Christian Fellowship in Dibble. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery.
