Tina’s Obituary Tina Gay Carpenter, 65, of Gastonia, passed away January 8, 2019 at The Brian Center. She was born August 20, 1953, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Howard Julius Carpenter and Oreta Glenn Sumner Carpenter. Tina was a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia.

She loved people and never met a stranger. She is survived by her brothers, Tim Carpenter and wife, Judy and Chris Carpenter and nephew, Josh Carpenter. A memorial service officiated by Pastors Jeff Williams and Chester Waters will be held 11 am Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd.
