Victor’s Obituary Victor J. Buell of Eustis passed away March 6, 2019 at Elwood Care Center at the age of 87. Vic was born October 23, 1931 in rural Frontier County, Nebraska to John and Minnie (Wolf) Buell. He attended rural Salem Country school and was baptized in the Salem Lutheran Church.

Vic took over running the family farm after his father suffered from a stroke. On August 14, 1955, he married Arliss Benton at Salem Lutheran Church, south of Elwood, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with two sons, Rick and Rodney.

Vic enjoyed square dancing with Arliss and hunting. He was a faithful and devoted member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as an Elder. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 2 sisters, Edna Ficken and Dorene Neill.

Survivors include his sons, Rick (Stephanie) Buell of Lexington and Rodney (Tami) Buell of Eustis; grandchildren, Kristen (Nick) Eschliman of Grand Island, Nathan (Kayla) Buell of Doniphan and Katelin (Daniel) Fowler of Chicago, IL; 4 great grandchildren, Rylee, Rylan and Ryker Eschliman and Grayson Buell; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating. Burial will follow at Elwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 5pm with family present at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
