EDGERTON—Viola M. Hessian, age 96, of Edgerton, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Edgerton Memorial Hospital. She was born in Edgerton on April 12, 1922, the daughter of R. William “Bill” and Meta (Koch) Geske. Viola married James Hessian on Nov.

8, 1941, in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1986. Viola loved gardening, working in the yard, helping at the antique shop for many years and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her 3 grandchildren:… Read More » Aaron Hessian of Edgerton, Tracy (Lisa) Hessian of Tucson, AZ, and Tiffany (Daryl) Brown of Sierra Vista, AZ; 4 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Samuel, Autumn, and Daryl Jr.; 3 brothers: Ralph (Dorothy) Geske, Willard Geske, and Howard (Nancy) Geske all of Edgerton; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael Hessian; and 4 siblings: Virginia, George, Donald, and Roger. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton.

Rev. David Brynelson will preside and burial will follow in the Fassett Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME.
