Obituary of Virginia Carson Dorman Virginia Lee Parr Carson Dorman died peacefully on October 18, 2018, at her home. Ginny, the daughter of the late J. George and Kathryn W. Parr of Baltimore , was born on March 31, 1928. Ginny was a graduate of Roland Park School, Catonsville High School, and the Bard Avon School in Baltimore.

She was an executive secretary to a number of prominent businessmen in Baltimore, East Orange, New Jersey, and Salisbury, where she moved in1964. During the last sixteen years of her career, she served as secretary to the Wicomico County Council. Ginny had been a member of Green Hill Yacht and Country Club and the Junior Board of Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

She was also a member of the Wicomico Yacht Club, Preservation Trust of Wicomico County, Somerset County Historical Trust, and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild. She volunteered at Coastal Hospice and the Ward Museum . In her later years, she attended St. Paul ’s Episcopal Church in Berlin , Maryland .

Ginny was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas E. (Jim) Carson, IV, in 1988, and Theodore T. Dorman in 1991; and by her sisters, Carol Parr Fedder in 2007, and Jane Parr Baker in 2011. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie Carson and Wes Miles, of Berlin; stepson Thomas E. Carson, V, of Baltimore; stepdaughter Jan Carson Miller of Dover, Delaware; and several beloved step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation for Ginny will be held at Holloway Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23.

Following a private internment at Parson’s Cemetery, a memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Berlin, at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24. Contributions in memory of Ginny may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Salisbury ; St. Paul ’s Episcopal Church in Berlin ; or Coastal Hospice.
