Walter’s Obituary Walter P. Strauch of Sterling, VA and formerly of Stroudsburg, died suddenly January 16th in Marion County, Florida. He was 73. The son of the late Walter Kurt and Hildegarde Margaret (Wendt) Strauch, he was born in Stroudsburg April 24th, 1945 While Walter grew up in Stroudsburg, it was his dedicated service in the U.S. Air Force that led him to explore other parts of the country.

A keen wit, Walter loved to laugh, he was a passionate collector who adored classic cars – and loved little more than a ride on his Harley. Walter lived in Sterling, VA for many years, working for the Pipe Fitters Union and as the co-owner of a successful HVAC business. But he had recently moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine, his dogs and some well-earned relaxation.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Strauch, and a sister, Hilda Rutt. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Graveside military honors and burial will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, February 4, at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
