Gearld Thomas Haney October 28, 1927 – January 23, 2019 Gearld Thomas Haney, 91 of Deer Park, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was born in Haslet, Texas on the 28th day of October 1927 to Raymond and Mattie Pearl Haney. Gearld was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy June Snow of 64 years.

Gearld proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After completing his service, he worked for both Shell and Lubrizol Corporation prior to his retirement. Upon retirement he started a new career with Enterprise Car Rentals.

He loved driving for them for over 5 years before entering retirement again. Gearld was a proud member of Parkwood United Methodist Church for over thirty years and enjoyed spending his time volunteering, singing in the choir, and making crafts out of clothespins such as crosses and rocking chairs. He loved fishing and camping with his family as well.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Ann Jackson; son, Charles Wayne Haney; three grandchildren, Chris Jackson, Heather Gearhart (Brad), and Nicole Haney; six great grandchildren Autumn, Ivy, Kam, Iris, Mason and Jack. Family will receive friends Saturday, January 26th at Parkwood United Methodist Church beginning at 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Graveside services will take place at Houston National Cemetery 10:00 AM Wednesday January 30, 2019.
