Vass, 93, of Bevier, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon. Wanda was born on February 7, 1926, in Rural Macon County, MO, to Sidney and Goldie Anna (Foley) Lea. She was united in marriage to Lloyd W. Vass on October 5, 1947 at the Macon Baptist Parsonage.

Wanda was a member of the Bevier Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping, fishing, visiting with people, cooking, spending time with family, and serving the Lord. Wanda is survived by her three sons, Gary Vass and his wife Renee of Urich, MO, Lary Vass of Urich, MO, and Terry Vass and his wife Nancy of Bevier, MO; five grandchildren, Adam Shipp and his wife Paula of Columbia, MO, Amy Shipp and her husband Adam Aholt of Alexandria, VA, Jason Vass and his wife Lindsey of Excello, MO, Jaremy Vass of Bevier, MO, and Laremy Vass of Bevier, MO.

She is also survived by her brother, Wesley “Dean” Lea and his wife Mary of Macon, MO; her son-in-law, Mickey Shipp of Macon, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd, on December 2, 1999; one daughter, Carol Shipp; five brothers, Paul Lea, Daniel Lea, Leslie Lea, Owen Lea, and Billy Lea; and one sister, Dorothy Cress. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO with Rev.

Scott Dalrymple officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday evening, April 1, 2019, at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorials to the Bevier Baptist Church.
