Obituary for William Daniel Myrick It is with great sadness that the family of William Daniel “Bill” Myrick announces his passing on May 7, 2018. Bill was born in Laurel on December 7, 1955 to Lawrence “L.O.” and Mary Alice Myrick. He attended Soso Elementary and graduated from West Jones High School in 1973.

He and his wife, Connie, reside in Laurel, where he retired from Halliburton Services with over 30 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Alice Myrick and nephew, Jason Helton. Bill will be forever remembered by his father Lawrence “L.O.” Myrick, his loving wife Connie; daughter Laura Jones (Chris) and two sons Michael Corey (Ashley) and Danny Corey (Rachel) as well as his grandchildren: Brittany Corey, Courtney Corey, Cody Corey and Kade Corey.

He will also be forever remembered by his three sisters: Linda Helton, Rosemary Hill (Nelson), and Donna Brooks (B.L.). Along with his nephews: Michael Helton (Adriane), Robby Gray (Amber), Randy Gray (Megan), Rich Gray (Leah), Russell Gray, Heath Hulon, and niece Jodie Welch (Michael). If you were one of his many friends who he shared a cup of coffee with, it was always considered time well-spent, cherished conversation, and the highlight of his day.

Funeral services will be held at Big Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Visitation will be at the church starting at 9 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Rich Gray and Rev.

Justin Rhodes will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael Helton, Robby Gray, Randy Gray, Russell Gray, Heath Hulon, and Michael Welch. Memory Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
