Obituary for William Vargo William E. Vargo, 88, of North Huntingdon died Wednesday June 20, 2018 at the Golden Heights, Harrison City. He was born April 22, 1930, in Hahntown a son of the late Michael and Anna (Ezak) Vargo. Prior to his retirement he was employed for the Bricklayers Union 9 of Pittsburgh as a supervisor.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in Irwin. After retirement Bill took Karate Classes earning a first degree black belt under C.S. Kim. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Diane Kelly; a brother James Vargo, and two sisters Rose Marie Slobodian and Velma Stewart; a son-in-law Daniel Kelly.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years Carol D. (Steiner) Vargo; two children Barbara Frieze and her husband, Ed, of Herminie and William E. Vargo Jr. , of Virginia; five grandchildren Eddie(Amanda) Frieze. , Christina(Jason) Lust, Rhonda(Geno) Gilbert, Jessica Kelly and Corry(Michael)Vargo King; seven great grandchildren Mia, Gabriel, Koby, Xavier, Raylan, Scarlet and Macensie and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin.
Parting prayers will be held 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon. The family wishes to thank the staff of Golden Heights Harrison City for the outstanding care they extended to Bill.
