Obituary for William McKee William F. “Bill” McKee, 64, of Hummelstown, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, at home. Born on November 19, 1953 in Prince Georges County, MD, he was the son of Joanne Speis and the late Calvin Speis, Sr. Bill was a med tech for Sumter Correctional facility in Florida, as well as a firefighter and EMT for various departments. He was a former member of Country & Town Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg.

Bill was a loving family man; his dog, Lily, meant the world to him. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Joy Marie Byers McKee, whom he married on September 7, 1984; a son, Michael Thomas McKee; a granddaughter, Makenzie Marie McKee; and six siblings, Charles, Kenneth, Michael, Alice, Joanne, and Teresa. He was preceded in death by a son, Christian McKee; a brother; a sister; and his beloved Pomeranians, Rufus and Cece.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home for a viewing on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the services. A private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hummelstown Fire Department, 249 East Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036, or to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., East Shore Shelter, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
