He was born January 18, 1918 in Chicago and died Wednesday January 9, 2019 at home. Bill was very active with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He adored his grandchildren and was an avid swimmer.

He is survived by his children Julie (Jeff) Arfsten, Donna (Mike) Roman, his siblings Robert Gudgeon, Margaret Finlayson, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise, daughter Mary Koutney and his brother Frank Gudgeon. In lieu of flowers memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society 116 N. Lake St. Mundelein, IL 60060.
