A gathering of friends for Mrs. Winnie Ruth (Forbes) Jones Malley, age 79 of the Sand Flat Community, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Nipp officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.

Winnie died Friday, January 25, 2019 at a hospital in Tyler. She was born in Marshall on October 3, 1939 to the late George Charles and Winnie Ida (Stevenson) Forbes. Winnie was raised in Douglasville and became a longtime resident of the Sand Flat Community.

Winnie worked most of her life in the medical field. She was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Tyler and loved participating in all of the church activities. Winnie loved people and went above and beyond to care for those she loved.

She enjoyed life to the fullest which was evident in her laughter and the way she tackled things at full speed. She did not know the word “stop”. She will be missed by many.

Winnie was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Ray Jones and Pete Malley and her 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Deborah Kaye Jones, Kevin Ray Jones and wife, Lydia, and Terrie Lynn Jones; brother, Jerry Forbes; niece, Betty Simmons, raised together like sisters; grandchildren, Justin Clark, Zachary Jones and wife, Andrea, Angela Jaubert, and Casey Coomer and wife, Brittnee; 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Smith County Humane Society.
