Alvis Andrew “Cracker” Lowe, age 62 of Bluefield, VA died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his home. He was born October 31, 1956 and was a son of the late Raymond Thurman Lowe, Sr. and Elsie Geraldine Ashby Lowe. Mr. Lowe was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

He enjoyed watching westerns, working on his farm, caring for his horses and playing the guitar; he loved to dance and even had his own band. He had worked as a Bridge Foreman on the railroad for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Susie Jackson; one brother, Raymond Lowe, Jr.; one granddaughter, Olivia Ann Moore.

Those who survive to cherish his memory include the mother of his children and former wife, Amanda Brook Mitchell Lowe of Wardell, VA; four children, Robert Andrew Lowe and wife, Heather Leigh-Ann of Rocky Gap, VA, Terry Lynn Lowe and companion, Darryl Moore of Tazewell, VA, Felicia Ann Lowe and companion, Eugene Roark of North Tazewell, VA and Daniel Ray Lowe and companion, Sierra Johnson of Bluefield, VA; one sister, Ruthie Sawyers of Bluefield, WV; one brother, James Lowe and wife, Barbara of Sugar Hill, GA; several grandchildren; one great grandchild; nieces, nephews and other family members and friends also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Lowe will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with the Rev. David Osborne officiating.

Burial will follow at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Princeton, WV. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, February 25, 2019.
