Thelma Janice McGaffee Ringstaff, age 86, of Pounding Mill, Virginia entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia following a brief illness. Mrs. Ringstaff was born in Tinsley, Kentucky to the late George Elmer, Sr. and Florence Ingram McGaffee. She was a graduate of Richlands High School and taught school in the Tazewell County Public School System.

Thelma was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Hoyt Ringstaff; one son, Randy Ringstaff; and her brother, George E. McGaffee, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include Daughter: Ramona Ringstaff of Winchester, Virginia Sons Keith Ringstaff and wife, Kimberly of Richlands, Virginia Jeffrey Ringstaff and wife, Valerie of Abingdon, Virginia Sisters Helen McGaffee of Boynton Beach, Florida Shirley Barazzone of Pounding Mill, Virginia Deborah Hunsaker of Duluth, Georgia Brother: Terry McGaffee of Richlands, Virginia Six Grandchildren, six Great Grandchildren, and a host of additional family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Thelma J. Ringstaff will be conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Dr. Marc Brooks officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia on Monday at 11 AM, where a committal service will be conducted. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
