Betty Ruth Davis Kelley Townsend, age 79, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away on March 15, 2019 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. Betty was born on October 18, 1939 in Cedar Bluff, Virginia to the late Lawrence Andrew and Myrtle Lawson Davis. She served her family as a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of the area.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Dean Townsend; and her brother, Lawrence Davis. Those left to cherish her memory include: Daughters Christine Dixon and husband, Terry of Pocahontas, Virginia Rebecca Kelley of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Cindy McGlothlin and husband, James of Minneapolis, Minnesota Sister: Susan Cooper and husband, Steve of Athens, Georgia Grandchildren: Joshua Townsend, Daniel Townsend, and Siobhan Townsend Great Grandchildren: Liam Townsend and Addison Collier Betty Ruth Davis Kelley Townsend will be cremated and there will be no services held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
