David Franklin Hall, age 55 of Berwind, WV died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. He was born October 28, 1963 at Richlands, VA and was a son of the late Stuart and Pauline Crockett Hall. Dave was a 1982 Graduate of Big Creek High School and the unofficial Mayor of Canebrake, WV.

He enjoyed spending time online talking to his friends on Facebook, riding his scooter and spending time with his family and friends. He was a special individual who impacted the lives of many people and he will be greatly missed in his community. Those who survive to cherish his memory include two sisters, Beverly Hale and husband, Steve of Berwind, WV and Gail Vencil and fiancé, Rick Angles of Gratton, VA; one brother, Clifford R. Hall of Witten Mill, VA; one niece, Rikki McGinnis and husband, Justin of Burkes Garden, VA; one nephew, Greg Hale and wife, Lindsey of North Tazewell, VA; other family members and friends also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hall will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Chris White officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers will be Gregory Hale, Shannon Dawson, Kim Dawson, Justin McGinnis, Rick Hall and Rick Angles.

Terry Billips will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 9 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA is serving the family of Mr. Hall and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.
